Local Building Society

Stafford Railway Building Society called on Accolade to assist them to refresh their Grade II listed building in the centre of Stafford to provide, not only a more efficient working environment, but somewhere they could be proud to welcome their clients.  The unique brief for this project was to modernise the interiors without losing the period features and charm of a Georgian building.

The full refurbishment included stripping out to make the spaces more open and practical, new MF ceilings to retain the building’s charm, full electrical re-wiring and plumbing to meet current building regulations, washroom and kitchen refurbishments and new office furniture.

This work is currently being completed in four phases to allow staff to continue working with minimal interference.

“A short note to say how pleased my team and I are with the work your team have undertaken on Phase 1.

The upper floors have been revitalised and are a joy to enter.  Thank you.  It has been particularly pleasing to note the excellent communication maintained between Adrian and my team.  Adrian, in particular, has always been helpful and when required, full of solutions to any problem.  He has also exuded and efficient and confident persona, despite on many occasions being faced with serious logistical challenges.  I consider he has been a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with him on the next Phase, where he has already provided useful guidance.

The difficulties in transporting rubble, old radiators and building materials up and down a spiral staircase has been conducted by your workforce in a manner which is a credit to your business.  I look forward to continuing to work together on Phase 2.

Please pass on my sincere thanks to all your team.”
